The leader of the Lagos-based Ikeja Football Coaches Council, Oyebande Babatunde Adeshina, has expressed strong confidence that the Super Eagles will qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, despite what he describes as a complicated Group L project

Teach diagnosed Tanzania as a potential threat, noting their benefits from long-term training as co-hosts of the match.
“Tanzania can give us a big fight as they get ready as hosts for two years,” he outlined.
Adesina additionally advised the Super Eagles to strengthen key areas before the start of the qualifiers, especially in attack and midfield creativity
“We want another reliable striker to help Osimhen and an innovative midfielder to help Alex Iwobi,” he said.
Nigeria are expected to start preparations later this year as they intend to stabilize early qualification for AFCON 2027.
