The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, is set to launch the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Vigilant App and MTN Closed User Group (CUG) Network on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Nigeria Police Resource Centre, Abuja.
The initiative is part of the Nigeria Police Force’s efforts to strengthen technology-driven policing, enhance communication, and improve operational efficiency across the Force.
The NPF Vigilant App is designed to promote improved engagement, information sharing, and communication between the Police and members of the public.

Similarly, the MTN CUG Network will provide a dedicated communication platform to facilitate seamless, efficient communication among Force personnel.
According to the Force, the launch underscores IGP Disu’s commitment to leveraging modern technology and strategic partnerships to strengthen policing, enhance internal coordination and improve service delivery to Nigerians.
The Nigeria Police Force said it remains committed to harnessing technology, innovation and strategic partnerships to improve operational effectiveness and deliver more responsive, efficient and people-centred security services.
