Reno Omokri releases second audio of Amaechi criticising Buhari

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has released a second audio of the minister of Transportation and the Director-General of Buhari/Osibajo Campaign Organisation questioning President Muhammadu Buhari’s intellectual capabilities.

Omokri came under fire from the members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, especially on twitter, who claimed that the audio dated back to 2014.

However, the defiant Omokri said that if the minister denies the recording, he would be forced to release the extended version.

Omokri wrote:

If Nigerians hear the audio of Rotimi @ChibuikeAmaechi’s conversation, they may weep. The man has no iota of respect for @MBuhari. In fact he hero worshipped former President Obasanjo in the tape and said he is the only worthy Nigerian leader. They know the truth, but hide it!

Yesterday, I set up the @NGRPresident. I knew if I released the full #AmaechiTapes, they’d say it was fake. Now that @ToluOgunlesi admitted it is actually Amaechi, but from 2014, here is the rest of Part 1 proving that @AsoRock lied. Part 2 is coming shortly. LISTEN and SHARE https://t.co/e3WiSyPIdX

Part 2 of #AmaechiTapes is even hotter! Hear what @ChibuikeAmaechi really thinks about @MBuhari’s leadership and what he thinks will happen if Buhari continues as President. But some say I’m heating up the polity and should not release. Should I release? RETWEET yes. LIKE for no.

In another tape, Amaechi said that the country is not going anywhere, adding that in 3 years of Buhari’s presidency, Nigerians are crying.

Mr Amaechi has not made any comment since the audio began trending on cyber space during the weekend.

However, analysts say that the minister admitting that the president does not read clearly indicates that the president lacks the intellectual power and will to govern a multi-ethnic country like Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari is running for a second term in office amidst a dwindling economy and rising spate of insecurity, especially in the North.

The president has come under fire as several stakeholders, including the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari, allege that the president has been high Jacked by a cabal.

His main opponent, Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice-president and business man has promised to revive the economy and end the bubbling insecurity.

The country will go into another round of elections in February with the appointment of Mrs Amina Zakari, a relative of the president as head of the election collation committee threatening to mar the process.

The presidency has said that Mrs Amina Zakari and the president are related by marriage, a claim denied by Mrs Amina Zakari in an interview with the BBC.

Nigeria’s political parties, including the former ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has urged the national electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to remove Mrs Zakari from the position to ensure a credible process.
