President Bola Tinubu has officially removed Fegho Umunubo from his position as Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy within the Office of the Vice President.
This development was made public on Monday through a statement released by Abiodun Oladunjoye, the Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House.
The statement clarified that Umunubo’s dismissal is effective immediately, and he is no longer authorized to act on behalf of the Tinubu administration.

“Members of the digital and creative economy sector, both domestically and internationally, along with the general public, are informed that Fegho John Umunubo, previously serving as the Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy (Office of the Vice President), has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect,” the statement declared.
It further cautioned that Umunubo no longer represents the current government in any official capacity, warning that any engagements with him claiming to act on behalf of President Tinubu’s administration are undertaken at one’s own risk. Stakeholders in the digital and creative sectors have been advised to take note of this change.
