Mrs. Adegoke and her children were kidnapped on the morning of June 3, 2026, while she was driving the twins to school in the Elewura area of Ring Road, Ibadan. Providing further details on the investigation, the Oyo State Police Command revealed that a personal assistant attached to a member of the Adelabu family allegedly collaborated with the kidnappers.
Speaking on a television programme, the Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, CSP Olayinka Ayanlade, disclosed that preliminary investigations pointed to insider involvement in the crime. According to him, the suspect allegedly supplied critical information that helped the kidnappers plan and execute the abduction, suggesting that the operation involved both external criminals and someone familiar with the family’s movements.
Ayanlade stated that some suspects have been arrested and are currently assisting investigators, while efforts continue to apprehend other members of the kidnapping syndicate who remain at large.
Following their rescue, Mrs. Adegoke and her sons were reunited with their family and placed under medical care and support.
