Fidelity Bank Plc has demonstrated its commitment to community development and poverty alleviation by donating food packs to over 1,500 individuals in Ihie Town, Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The food distribution was executed in partnership with The Reach Nigeria Foundation, a non-profit organisation focused on sustainable development.
The paramount ruler of Ihie community, His Royal Highness, Eze Richard Amadi, praised the bank’s swift action. Calling it a timely and significant intervention that meets the needs of the people.
The Chairman of the Ihie Community Development Committee, Mr. Stephen Asoh, extended his gratitude to Fidelity Bank. Noting that the donations would have a profoundly positive impact on the lives of numerous community residents.
Mike Okere, a recipient of the bank’s support, lauded Fidelity Bank’s community-focused approach and urged other financial institutions to adopt similar strategies.

Launched in April 2023, the Fidelity Food Bank initiative is a key component of the bank’s corporate social responsibility efforts, focused on tackling hunger and enhancing livelihoods nationwide.
This initiative is fully in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 2, which seeks to eradicate hunger globally.
To date, Fidelity Bank has distributed over 200,000 food packs through similar outreaches. Aimed at supporting individuals, strengthening businesses, and transforming entire economies.
