NAOWA Inaugurates Library, Classrooms in Elele Barracks

The Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association, NAOWA has inaugurated a Nursery and Primary School Library and two additional blocks of classrooms at the Elele Barracks of the Six Division. Inaugurating the facilities, Chairperson, 6 Division NAOWA Chapter, Mrs. Manfon Ejim-Emekah described it as a significant milestone that would enhance the learning experience to spark their curiosity and inspire their creativity.

While commending the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association, NAOWA President and Zonal Coordinator for facilitating the projects, Chairperson, 6 Division NAOWA Chapter, Mrs. Mafon Ejim-Emekah said the school library and two additional blocks of classrooms would help improve the learning, research and reading culture of students. She urged pupils to take full advantage of the library to actualize their potential.

Zonal Coordinator of NAOWA, 16 Brigade Zone, Mrs. Funmilayo Obolo said the facilities would provide the children access to a conducive learning environment and help in equipping pupils and students with quality education. She stressed that the project would help students to dream big, achieve greatness, bring expansion and inspire a love for learning through access to a well equipped library.

Mrs. Obolo appreciated the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army. Port Harcourt, Major General Emmanuel Ejim-Emekah, Commander of the 16 Brigade, Brigadier General Oluremi Obolo, the Commanding Officer, 5 Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel I.G Fashona and the Commanding Officer 343 Artillery Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel I. A. Almakura for ensuring the provision of the projects for the educational well being of children within and outside the Barracks.
