Members of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria PENGASSAN Port Harcourt Zone have been charged to pick up their permanent voters card (PVC) and vote in credible leaders that will perform come the 2023 election.

State Chairman PENGASSAN Port Harcourt Zone, Comrade Peter Onita, who gave the charge during the 2022 Workers Carol, said the 2023 election had given Nigerian workers another opportunity to decide who will lead them both at the national and state level.

Onita noted that as a labour Union, it had been made compulsory for every member to get their PVC and vote in the 2023 election while urging them to have faith in the country still as change will come.

“First of all, today we have all gathered to appreciate God for giving us 2022 and the enablement to pass through this year from January, and today we are in December. As a people, we agreed to return all praises to God almighty, which is the essence of the carol.

“For us as a body, we would not pretend or shy away from the reality that is in this country, as PENGASSAN we are charging every member of our union across the country to go and collect their PVC if they have not collected.

“The election of 2023 has given us another opportunity to decide who will govern us at the national and state level. As labour, we charge our members to get their PVC because we will participate in the forthcoming election to decide for ourselves who will lead us.

“Our members need to get PVC as directed by the national in preparation for 2023. At the right time, we will be able to talk to our members, and we will do the needful”.

He, however, explained that as Nigerian workers, it is very important to give thanks to God for scaling through the hurdles and challenges of the year 2022.

“My message to Nigeria workers, especially workers of PENGASSAN, is they should have faith in the country; we know that God, in his time comes 2023, will rekindle the hope and aspirations of workers.

“We know that 2022 has its challenges, but we are optimistic 2023 will be better. Let them be faithful and together, we will move from glory to glory”.
