NUC Visits IAUE For Verification Of Five New Programmes

Five teams from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, visited Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt, for resource verification of five newly introduced programmes.

The exercise was aimed at assessing the adequacy of the human, physical and material resources available for the smooth implementation of the programmes.

Speaking during a courtesy visit at the University’s Council Chamber, the leader of one of the teams, Professor Hauwa Imam of the University of Abuja, said the teams were at the institution to ascertain its readiness for the programmes.

Imam appealed for the cooperation and support of the university throughout the exercise, adding that the teams would identify areas requiring improvement and make recommendations to ensure a hitch-free commencement of the programmes.
