Fleeing criminals ran into 4 communities in Ahoada – Youth PRO

The criminals terrorising both Ahoada West and East LGAs of Rivers State have ran into four communities in the area as revealed by the PRO of the Ahoada Igbu Youth Congress, Comr. Ekeakita, Hector Chinem.

The youth PRO said ever since a new Divisional Police Officer, Angbashim Bako was deployed to Ahoada, the criminals had fled from a lot of communities and are now hiding in just four communities.

According to Chinem, the communities that the criminals fled into are: Odiemude Community in Ahoada East; Ogbo Community in Ahoada East; Ebrass Community in Ahoada West and Olokuma Community in Ahoada West, respectively.

DPO Bako who was adjudged to have performed very well at the Bori Police Division was redeployed by the state Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Emeka to tackle the daily killing and kidnapping in Ahoada West and East LGAs.

The youth leader reliably informed our correspondent that: “For now, Ahoada East LGA is a bit calm because of the deployment of DPO Bako. The areas of challenge now are few communities in Ahoada West and East where the criminals are hiding.

“The DPO has identified the criminal camps in Ahoada West and East and efforts are in motion to raid and dislodge the remnant criminals from their hide outs.

“Some of the hoodlums have called the DPO with the intention to surrender their arms and the DPO has given them timeframe to return their arms and once that window is closed, the security agents will raid them.

“The DPO has also assured the people of Ahoada that he will not spare anybody in possession of illegal firearms.”
