Zenith Bank Plc will host the 10th edition of its International Trade Seminar on Non-Oil Export on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, bringing together key stakeholders to explore ways to strengthen Nigeria’s non-oil export sector and boost its contribution to economic growth.
The virtual seminar, themed “Unlocking Value and Harnessing Growth in Non-Oil Export,” will feature policymakers, regulators, exporters, manufacturers, investors and other players in the trade sector.
Discussions will focus on moving Nigeria beyond the export of raw commodities by developing competitive value chains, expanding market access, improving trade infrastructure and increasing access to export financing.
Among the speakers expected at the event are AfCFTA Secretary-General, Wamkele Mene; Chief Executive Officer of Plot Enterprise Ghana Limited, Patricia Poku-Diaby; and former Afreximbank President and Chairman, Professor Benedict Oramah.

The seminar will also feature public and private sector panel sessions examining challenges around trade facilitation, customs procedures, port efficiency, regulation, export financing and access to international markets.
The public sector panel will include officials from NEXIM Bank, Nigeria Customs Service, the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission and the Nigerian Export Promotion Council.
Private sector representatives from Dangote Group, Starlink Global & Ideal Limited, 3T Impex Trade Centre, Terra Aqua Environmental Consultancy Nigeria Limited, RMM Global and Lelook Nigeria Limited will also participate.
A key focus of the discussions will be the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and its potential to expand opportunities for Nigerian businesses across a continental market of more than one billion people.
Participants are expected to examine strategies for increasing intra-African trade, developing competitive value chains and positioning Nigerian goods and services for regional and global markets.
Zenith Bank said the 10th edition would build on previous discussions by identifying practical pathways to unlock the potential of the non-oil sector and accelerate its contribution to Nigeria’s economic transformation.
