Easter: Cleric urges Christians to focus on eternity, not wealth

Brave Dickson

The Vicar in charge of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Port Harcourt, Revd. Onimim Frank has urged Christians to place their focus on eternity and not wealth.

The Vicar said this in a chat with our correspondent as his Easter message to all Christians across the globe.

“I urge my fellow brethren across the world to focus on eternity, not wealth. Our life on earth is a journey.

“Any Christian who forgets eternity in pursuit of riches will be the most miserable among men.

“Eternity with Jesus is the primary reason we are Christians and no follower of Christ should derail from it.

“This year’s Easter calls for more humility, love and righteous living among Christians and these are the virtues we should exhibit at all times if we really want to spend eternity with our Saviour, Jesus Christ.”

The cleric also enjoined Christians to fear God, adding that they should serve their neighbours the way they would like their neighbours to serve them.
