PCRC condemns stealing of NUJ bus, urges security agents to investigate

Police Community Relations Committee in Rivers State has condemned the stealing of an 18-seater bus belonging to the state Nigeria Union of Journalists Correspondents Chapel.

In a chat with our correspondent, the state Chairman of PCRC, Casca Ogosu described the incident as very disturbing and urged security agents to swing into action immediately.

He said, “We condemn the stealing of NUJ bus by hoodlums.

“This is an attack on all journalists and we view it as very disturbing.”

The PCRC chairman further urged security agents to investigate the incident, adding that somebody closer to the journalist whose house was robbed could be part of the crime.

It was reported that the robbers stormed the house of the NUJ Correspondents chapel chairman, Amaechi Okonkwo, robbed his household before snatching the bus.

The stolen bus was said to have valued 19million naira.
