Coronavirus: Tonye Cole goes into isolation

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Tonye Patric Cole has gone into self-isolation after flying into Nigeria from London with another passenger who has tested positive to the coronavirus.

Federal Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that five new cases have been detected in the country.

Using his official social media handle, Cole, a gubernatorial aspirant during 2019 election, wrote: “#workfromhome #covid19Lagos So I was on the BA75 flight of the 13th from London on which a lady tested positive for #covid_19. We have all been asked by@LSMOH to #selfisolate for the health of ourselves and others.

“I am really thankful to @https://ncdc.gov.ng/ for the measures taken at the airports to document all passengers coming into NIGERIA or no one would have known which flight to request passengers to self isolate. These measures to promote #socialdistancing may just save lives! I have 9 days left to read, exercise, more self discovery and deeper bonding with my sweetheart”
