Rivers United’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Nine encounter against Barau FC has been postponed with 15 minutes remaining after heavy rainfall disrupted proceedings at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The match was halted with the scoreline goalless at 0-0, forcing officials to reschedule the remaining minutes for Monday morning.
According to an update from the Nigeria Premier Football League, the final 15 minutes of the encounter will be completed from 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 19.
Both sides had been unable to find the breakthrough before the interruption, leaving the contest finely balanced ahead of the resumption.
Rivers United will hope to capitalise on home advantage to secure a late winner, while Barau FC will be looking to frustrate the hosts and earn a valuable point on the road.
The outcome of the rescheduled encounter could prove significant for both teams as the 2026/27 NPFL campaign continues.
