7 killed in clash between local vigilante and Deygbam cultists in Rivers Community

No less than four houses were burnt while seven persons were allegedly killed during a clash between a Local vigilante group trained by ONELGA Security And Planning Advisory Committee (OSPAC) and suspected Deygbam cult members.

The incident occurred on Monday, July 29,2019, in Ndele community in Emohua Local Government area of Rivets State.

Revelation Agents reports that the suspected cultists had on Sunday reportedly burnt the house of one Chief Marcus Atata and a house belonging to four other vigilante members on allegations that they are working with the Police to ensure their arrest.

It was also gathered that the local vigilante members in conjunction with the Police stormed the camp of the suspected cultists who were believed to be responsible for kidnapping along Ndele -Rumuji axis of the East-West road.

A native of the community revealed that in exchange of gunfire, seven of the hoodlums were killed.
