Rivers State University (RSU) has commenced the admission clearance exercise for candidates offered provisional admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The exercise is open to candidates who have accepted their admission offers through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
In a notice signed by the University Registrar, Dr Idanyingi I. Daminabo, admitted candidates were directed to access the university’s admission portal at apply.rsu.edu.ng using their JAMB registration numbers and other required details.
Candidates are expected to complete the online clearance and pay the prescribed acceptance and other preliminary fees through the portal. They are also required to upload their JAMB admission letters, UTME result slips, O’Level results, birth certificates or declarations of age, and Local Government identification documents.
Candidates presenting two O’Level sittings must upload both results, according to the notice.
The Registrar also directed candidates to download and print the relevant clearance forms from the portal for submission during the physical clearance at their respective faculties.

The exercise began on September 23 and will end on November 30, 2026. Candidates who fail to complete the process within the stipulated period may lose their admission offers.
The university warned that all information and documents submitted must correspond with candidates’ records on JAMB CAPS. It added that admission may be withdrawn from candidates found to have presented false or altered documents.
After completing the online process, candidates are required to submit their duly completed forms to their respective faculties for the opening of their files.
