Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University, Professor Blessing Didia, to respond to a query over the shooting incidents in the university campus.

The amateur video showed Students and lecturers abandoning their exams and fleeing to safety on as the gunmen suspected to be cultists shot sporadically on campus.

The Tuesday incident is said to be a reprisal over the killing of Tuaka but the cultists quickly fled upon the intervention of military personnel.

Nnamdi Omoni, the Rivers Police Command’s Spokesman ruled out cult clashes as the reason for the killing on Monday.

He said further that the command is investigating the matter.
