Residents decry proliferation of brothels in Igbo-Etche


Residents of Igbo in Etche Local Government Area have come out to decry the fast rate of proliferation of brothels in the area.

Igbo Etche is a fast developing area in Etche local government with well-organized business settings in the area.

Ttheportcitynews learnt that over twelve brothels are in the area and the residents are finding the business rather awkward.

Residents who spoke t to Theportcitynews correspondent, Kelechi Kas lamented that the moral decadence is alarming owing to the fact that children of not more than fifteen years old have already started keeping prostitutes as girlfriends.

A youth who pleaded anonymous confirmed to our correspondent that the nightlife in the area is an immoral one where majority of the old and the young are given to promiscuity.

They also said that the residents will do something about it if government fails to act accordingly.

Our correspondent sought the audience of the traditional ruler of Igbo-Etche who was said to have been out of town on official assignment.
