Chevron Reaffirms Green Commitment

Chevron Nigeria is staying true to its promise to protect the environment.

They want to reduce the things people put into the air and make energy in a way that does not hurt the planet and this is something that is very important on World Environment Day, which is on June 5th.

The company wants to take care of the earth and at the time give people energy that is affordable and reliable and clean.

This kind of energy helps countries grow and helps people have lives.

This year World Environment Day is telling everyone that we need to work to stop the earth from getting too hot and to stop really big problems like floods and heatwaves and not having enough water.

Jim Swartz, who is the Chairman and Managing Director of Chevron Nigeria and Mid-Africa said that his company is always trying to be kind to the environment in everything they do.

He said that Chevron Nigeria is working hard to put bad air into the atmosphere and to use energy in a smarter way and to stop wasting gas.

He also said that the company is using technology to catch gas leaks and to watch how much gas they are using..

They are doing projects to capture gas instead of letting it go to waste. Swartz said that Chevron Nigeria is always honest about how bad air they put into the atmosphere and they always follow the rules.

Chevron Nigeria is not just taking care of its business it is also helping to protect the environment in other ways.

They worked with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation to build the Lekki Conservation Centre a time ago in 1992.

This place is a home for animals and a place where people can learn about taking care of the earth.

Chevron Nigeria also helps students who are studying to be experts, in taking care of the environment. They teach people about how important it is to take care of the earth.

Swartz said that taking care of the earth and all the animals that live here is very important. He said that Chevron Nigeria will keep working with the government and communities and groups to make sure that we all have an healthy planet to live on.
