Terem Moffi, for the Super Eagles says the Nigerian camp is relaxed and centered ahead of Tuesday’s Unity Cup semi-final against Zimbabwe in London.
Nigeria begin their marketing campaign at The Valley, with head coach Eric Chelle mixing experienced internationals with NPFL gamers and sparkling faces as part of his ongoing squad rebuild.
Moffi, currently on loan at FC Porto from OGC Nice, stressed that the crew was not always haunted by previous setbacks, such as Nigeria’s failure to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Instead, he said the focus has shifted upfront entirely to the mission.
“The outside is in the back of us. There’s no tension at all,” Moffi said. “We’re just happy to be here, playing football, enjoying ourselves and winning games.”
The 27-year-old antique praised the environment at camp, noting the energy in the schooling and the stability among senior gamers and newcomers looking to make their statement.
He added that the Super Eagles have enough assets to compete strongly despite the experimental nature of the squad, pointing to the encouraging club performance in Europe and the NPFL as a confidence boost.
Moffi, who celebrated his birthday on Monday, may be hoping for a memorable journey if he gets a few minutes against Zimbabwe.
For the striker, the Unity Cup is more than just a friendly. It is also a hazard for the group to build chemistry, maintain a triumphant mindset, and offer the employee education group more options for larger global assignments.
