The founder and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has rescued a suspected kidnapper and armed robber in Rivers State and offered him an opportunity to undergo rehabilitation.
Chinyere disclosed this during Sunday’s church service, where he displayed an Army uniform, pistol and native charms allegedly recovered from the suspect.
According to the cleric, the suspect allegedly carried out kidnapping and armed robbery operations while disguising himself in a Nigerian Army uniform.
Chinyere said the items had been handed over to the Nigerian Police for further investigation, while the suspect commenced rehabilitation at the OPM Free Rehabilitation Centre on Monday, September 7, 2026.

He said the suspect would receive counselling, guidance and support as part of efforts to help him turn his life around.
The OPM founder added that for over 15 years, the ministry had rescued, rehabilitated and empowered vulnerable people, including repentant criminals, cultists, commercial sex workers and street children.
He said beneficiaries are also given opportunities to acquire vocational skills through the OPM Free School of Skills to enable them to become self-reliant and productive members of society.
“The purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, reform, and empower,” Chinyere said, adding that the programmes are funded through tithes and offerings from OPM members.
