APC Wins Ahoada East II Bye-Election

Candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Napoleon Ukalikpe and Henrietta Bulabari, have won the bye-elections conducted in Ahoada East Constituency II and Khana II State Constituency in Rivers State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Ukalikpe the winner of the Ahoada East Constituency II poll at its office in Ahoada town.

The Returning Officer, Rosemary Ogu, announced that Ukalikpe polled 3,980 votes to secure victory.

Ogu stated that the declaration followed the upload of results from 86 out of 87 polling units to the INEC Results Viewing Portal, representing 98.85 per cent of the total results.

In the Khana II State House of Assembly bye-election, the Returning Officer, Angela Briggs, declared APC candidate Henrietta Bulabari the winner after she secured 7,647 votes, affirming that she met all constitutional requirements.
