Nigerian comedian and content creator Broda Shaggi has returned to social media months after reportedly being shot while filming in Ogun State.
The skit maker had been absent from social media since March 2026, following the incident at Sango Ota Bridge in Ogun State.
The incident became public on March 13, prompting concern among fans and followers over his health and whereabouts.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that the shooting had been reported by a private hospital in the Alakuko area, where the comedian was initially taken for treatment.
In an emotional video shared on his Instagram page late Tuesday, Broda Shaggi revealed that the incident occurred on March 9.
Describing the experience as “a day in my life I wish never happened,” the comedian shared a brief video showing him being rushed to a hospital following the shooting.
The footage, which showed him with a gunshot injury and bloodstains, offered a glimpse into the incident that kept him away from social media for several months.
His return has drawn attention from fans who had been concerned about his prolonged absence and uncertain about his condition.
Broda Shaggi said he would provide further details about the shooting on Wednesday, raising expectations that he would explain what happened and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The comedian, whose real name is Samuel Perry, is one of Nigeria’s well-known skit makers, recognised for his comic characters and online entertainment content.
His return marks his first major public update since the reported shooting in March, although further details about the incident were still expected at the time of his announcement.
