‎Rivers United Are Ready To Face Any Team – Finidi George

Finidi George has asserted that Rivers United is not intimidated by any team in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

‎Finidi conveyed his confidence on Thursday, August 28, that his team would have a better performance this season, having secured second place last year.

‎Rivers United played to a 1-1 draw against Remo Stars in the opening match of the new season in Abeokuta last weekend.

‎The team is set to compete against Kwara United in their matchday two fixture in Port Harcourt this weekend.

‎“It’s beneficial that the fixture includes strong teams because if there are any errors, we will know how to rectify them,” Finidi stated to Rivers United’s media.

‎“We are not afraid of any team this season. We will showcase our best football this season, and hopefully, we will achieve the results we deserve.”

‎In an exciting announcement for football fans in Port Harcourt, Rivers United Football Club has revealed that its eagerly awaited first home game of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season will be free for everyone.

‎The match, scheduled for Sunday, August 31, at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, will feature Rivers United against Kwara United, with kickoff set for 4 pm.

‎The club’s management has invited all fans, families, and football lovers to join them for what is expected to be an exhilarating match.
