INEC confirmed that the physical phase of the CVR exercise commenced on Monday across 811 centres nationwide, including all 774 local government offices. Both new applicants and those who pre-registered online are expected to complete their enrolment in person, where their biometrics will be captured.

The Commission emphasised that eligible voters must be Nigerian citizens aged 18 and above who have not previously registered. It also reiterated that transfers of registration, replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), and updates of personal information are permitted during the exercise.
