Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie, widely known as Brain Jotter, has publicly condemned a recent encounter with street touts, locally referred to as agberos, while navigating traffic in Lagos.
The incident, which was shared in a video via the creator’s social media channels, involved a group of men who obstructed his vehicle and refused to allow him passage until he provided a forced financial settlement. During the confrontation, one of the individuals attempted to intimidate the comedian by repeatedly boasting, “I be lion,” in an effort to assert dominance and justify the extortion attempt.
Brain Jotter, known for his signature satirical approach to social commentary, used his caption to mock the drama of the encounter. He suggested that the behavior was indicative of a broader failure in public order and law enforcement regarding the management of unregulated street enforcers.
