Nigerian music star Burna Boy delivered a high-energy performance at the 2026 NFL Paris Game halftime show, bringing Afrofusion to the Stade de France during Sunday’s historic matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints.
The Grammy-winning singer entertained spectators with some of his biggest hits, including Ye, On the Low and Last Last, showcasing the sound that has helped establish him as one of Africa’s leading international music stars.
Burna Boy opened his set with 4 Kampe II, his collaboration with French-Haitian singer Joé Dwèt Filé, before moving into familiar favourites from his catalogue.
French singer Yseult also joined him on stage, adding a local touch to the performance as the NFL staged its first regular-season game in France on October 25.
The matchup ended in a 16-10 victory for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the halftime show provided another major international platform for Nigerian music.
Ahead of the performance, Burna Boy had expressed excitement about returning to the iconic venue, where he made history in April 2025 as the first African artist to headline a solo concert at the Stade de France.
“Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything,” he said ahead of the event.
The NFL selected Burna Boy for the show as part of its expanded international entertainment programme, which featured seven halftime performances across its 2026 international games.
His appearance followed fellow Nigerian singer Ayra Starr’s performance at the NFL London Game earlier in October, further highlighting the growing presence of Nigerian artists at major international sporting events.
Burna Boy has previously performed at prominent global events, including the 2023 UEFA Champions League final kickoff show, alongside fellow Nigerian singer Rema.
Born Damini Ogulu, the singer rose to prominence with Like to Party, the lead single from his debut studio album, L.I.F.E., released in 2013.
He has since released several successful albums, including African Giant, Twice as Tall, Love, Damini, I Told Them and No Sign of Weakness.
His 2021 Grammy win for Twice as Tall in the Best Global Music Album category further cemented his international standing.
Burna Boy’s latest appearance at the NFL Paris Game underscored the expanding reach of Nigerian music and its growing presence at major sporting and entertainment events around the world.
