The Executive Secretary, Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP) Dr. Vetty Agala, has assured that the state health insurance agency will provide quality and affordable healthcare services to all residents of the state, no matter what part of the state they reside, and where they hail from.
Dr Agala made the assertion in her speech to flag off a 28-day medical outreach in Port Harcourt, called on those who are already aware of the laudable programme to help disseminate the information to others.
She described the health insurance programme as a good one that will help those who are already enrolled never to suffer catastrophic financial hardship when they have health challenges , calling upon well-to- do individuals and organisations to pay for the enrolment of some members of their communities as to extend the benefits of the programme to more and more persons.
The Executive Secretary commended efforts of Rivers State Government under the leadership of Sir Siminialayi Fubara, for ensuring Rivers residents have unfettered access to quality healthcare services, adding that government cannot do it alone. She called for support and partnership from organisations and individuals.
