Governor Siminalayi Fubara has extended Easter greetings to residents of Rivers State, urging them to reflect on the deeper meaning of the season.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, the governor called on Christians to embrace the values of sacrifice, reconciliation and unity as they mark the celebration.
The 51-year-old encouraged the faithful to draw inspiration from Jesus Christ, whose crucifixion, he noted, brought forgiveness and restored the relationship between humanity and God.
Describing Easter as a solemn and significant period, Fubara said it should serve as a time to promote peace, love and togetherness across communities.
