Following the Supreme Court ruling on the national leadership crisis in Labour Party, stakeholders of the party in Rivers State have resolved that Mr. Deinye Pepple and his exco members, should assume leadership of the party in the state, pending the conduct of its national congress.
Speaking with our correspondent in Port Harcourt, Mr. Pepple explained that with the sacking of Mr. Julius Abure leadership by the Supreme Court, the steering committee of the party, which was set up the Abure’s leadership, no longer exists in the state, hence the decision of the stakeholders to fill the vacuum.

To reposition Labour Party in the state, Mr. Deinye said, an enlargement meeting of all stakeholders and support groups will be organised to reunite all factions.
