HMO Challenges: Health Experts Meet in Port Harcourt

In a bid to improve the relationship between health care providers, enrollees, and Health Management Organisation (HMO), SUNU Health Nigeria Limited organised a one-day interactive forum in Port Harcourt to break the barrier and bridge communication gaps.

‎The Interactive forum, which brought together Health Insurance enrollees, Service providers, and stakeholders in the health sector, was put together as part of its statutory duties under the National Health Insurance Authority to create an enabling environment for easier communication and resolution of conflict in payments for health care services.

‎The Chief Executive Officer of SUNU Health Nigeria Limited, Dr. Patrick Korie, while explaining that Health Insurance was for low, medium, and high-earning individuals, urged people to choose HMO providers with ease and swift health care service.

‎The Chief Operating Officer of the company, Dr. Faith Nwachi, noted that the need to improve on existing services necessitated the interactive forum and urged more persons to take advantage of the facilities offered by HMO and subscribe to one

‎The Regional Coordinator for South South/South East of the company, Dr. Ifeoma Chikezie, said that the interactive forum will be done regularly in line with the company’s vision of having a seamless experience for both enrollees and health care providers.

‎Some participants at the event appreciated SUNU Health Nigeria Limited for the timing of the event, which provided the opportunity to express their views on diverse issues affecting them.

‎The Interactive Forum which held at The Signature Event Place, had as part of its sessions a talk on the theme, a breakout session for interaction amongst participants, and a cultural display by a select group.
