‘‘You’ve killed coalition with your good works’ – Wike tells Tinubu

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has stated that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has dismantled the opposition’s unity, leaving no grounds for a coalition against him.

The Port City News learnt that many political figures have been discussing and engaging in several meetings on coalition ahead of the 2027 presidential election, being spearheaded by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in a bid to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former Rivers State governor stated this during the commissioning of roads in the nation’s capital, noting that some people are not happy with Tinubu despite his performance.

He said, “Good works have killed the coalition in Nigeria. Some people, whatever you do, will not be happy; many of them were born not to be happy. Under Tinubu, contractors now have confidence in the government. Your good works have killed the coalition in Nigeria.”

However, Tinubu in reaction maintained that the minister is always welcome to become member of the APC whenever he’s ready.

Tinubu stated this when he commissioned the Arterial Road N16 (Shehu Shagari Way) from Ring Road One (Nnamdi Azikiwe Way) to Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Road) and some other roads in Katampe District.

He said the APC would continue to be in a joyous mood with Wike while the party’s rivals would continue to writhe in pain.
