The Rivers State Apex of the Nigerian Women in Agricultural Business Cooperative Society Limited (NiWAB) has commissioned a feed mill facility at the Okrika Local Government Council Secretariat. About 60 women and youths have been selected for training in machine operation under the initiative, which is meant to link agricultural development, employment, youth participation, and enterprise development.

NiWAB Rivers State Apex President Madam Amonia Nwuke said the facility is intended to contribute to feed production, support livestock farmers, and create business opportunities for women and youths.

National President Hon. Grace Titi thanked Okrika LGA Executive Chairman Chief Hon. Akuro Alfred Tobin, DSSRS, JP, for providing the venue. She also thanked the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) for implementing its women economic empowerment policy, which she said is aimed at enabling rural women to operate and maintain the facility and secure jobs through it. She urged beneficiaries to make full use of it.

The chairman, represented by Hon. Tams Iyalla, thanked the programme’s sponsors and assured them that the facility would be put to optimal use for the benefit of the people.
