Idah Peterside visits Rivers Whales ahead of National Sport Festival

A Former Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Bishop Idah Peterside, has paid a visit to Rivers Whales Teqball team at their training ground inside the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia in Port Harcourt.

Rivers Whales are concluding preparations before they leave Rivers State for the 2025 National Sports Festival (NSF) in Ogun State.

Peterside encouraged the team to give the state a befitting representation at the event. He also urged the state’s Teqers to be of good behaviour in order for them to have a successful career in Teqball.

National Teqball coach and coach of team, Keshi Chijioke, thanked the former Nigerian International for his fatherly encouragement to the team. Keshi noted that Peterside’s presence has further boosted the morale of his team.

Rivers Whales will compete against hosts Ogun, Edo and Delta States in the Teqball event of the ongoing National Sports Festival.

Teqball will feature as a demonstration sport for the second time at the Festival. The demonstration events are slated for the 25th and 26th of May.
