Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says staff welfare is on the front burner of management plans. He made this known during the twenty-twenty-five NDDC Staff Raffle draw in Port Harcourt Rivers State.
Dr. Ogbuku appreciated the staff for their support, which has made the commission gain awards and recognitions, both local and International, as well as commendation by President Bola Tinubu.
While maintaining that the commission has become a standard in road construction and Solar street lights installation, the MD asserted that the days of sub-standard jobs were over.
He said “We have projects that are lined up for commissioning this projects are to show he world the hard work that is coming from all of you in this room, the effort you are putting in, in changing the narrative of the Niger Delta and NDDC, we are only going to showcase what your efforts have turns out to be”.

Speaking on Alternative Dispute Resolution between the Management and the Union for a Harmonious and Peaceful Workplace, the Head of Education and International, Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation Civil Service and Recreational Service Employees, National Secretariat, Comrade Dinepre Torukeregha emphasized the need for the Union and management to work in synergy for the benefit of staff.

“The issue that workers and management have is when you tamper with the welfare of workers, sincerely we look forward to strengthening and reawakening the synergy of the relationship between management and staff, we are very lucky to have a listening board who took the affairs of the welfare concerning workforce as their priority” he noted
.
Comrade Torukeregha emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between staff and management to avoid friction. The high point of the event was the raffle draw, which attracted different gift items for the winners, such as generators, refrigerators, gas cookers, and many others.
Our Correspondent reports that a staff from Rivers State Office, Nelly Uwaoma, won a brand new Car, the second Star prize, while Chukwudi Nwammadu from Akwa Ibom State Office was the winner of the first star prize for a Bedroom apartment in the GRA Port Harcourt.
