Team Nigeria has returned from the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest with a combined prize money of $130,000 after competing in five events.
Leading the Nigerian contingent was sprint hurdler Tobi Amusan, who emerged as the country’s highest-placed athlete at the championship.
The competition brought together some of the world’s leading track and field athletes, providing Nigerian representatives with an opportunity to compete against top opposition on the international stage.

Although the athletes recorded varying results across their respective events, their performances collectively earned Nigeria $130,000 in prize money.
Amusan’s showing further underlined her status as one of Nigeria’s leading athletics stars, while the performances of other members of the team also contributed to the country’s overall earnings.
With the championship now concluded, Team Nigeria has returned home with valuable international experience and a financial reward from its campaign in Budapest.
