BBNaija S11: Barry Wins HoH, Becomes Ultimate Veto Power Holder and First Finalist

Week eight of Show Ya Sef delivered one of the season’s most consequential episodes yet, as Barry emerged from a three-part Head of House (HoH) Challenge not just as the week’s HoH, but as the show’s first confirmed finalist and holder of a brand-new prize: the Ultimate Veto Power.

Barry and Keivo Battle It Out in “Wild Climber”

This week’s HoH Challenge unfolded in three stages, with Barry and Keivo advancing after successfully stacking eighteen balls into a tower in the third round. The two then faced off in the final game, “Wild Climber,” an obstacle course that tasked players with scooping a ping-pong ball onto a spoon and navigating it through a series of checkpoints before dropping it into a cup.

Keivo was buzzed out after clearing only the first checkpoint, while Barry pushed on to checkpoint three before his run ended. That gap was enough to hand Barry the win, crowning him this week’s Head of House.

What Barry’s HoH Win Unlocked

Barry’s victory came loaded with rewards. Along with the standard HoH perks, immunity from eviction and a private loft for the week, Biggie revealed that Barry had also secured the Ultimate Veto Power, giving him the authority to influence nominations both this week and next, regardless of who wins the next HoH Challenge.

Barry chose Keivo, his challenge rival, as his loft guest for the week, while Bells was named the house’s Benchwarmer.

Housemates Pitch for Survival Under the New Nominations Format

The Ultimate Veto Power reshaped how nominations played out during the live show. Instead of the usual process, each housemate called forward was given two minutes to make a personal case to Barry for why they deserved to be spared eviction.

Housemates pitched in the following order: Keivo, Oyin, Sheba, Chimsom Chuka, Yusuf, Flora, Aikou, Temi Nkem, Bluethopia, Ricky, Bells and Tram.

After hearing every pitch, Barry was asked by Biggie to announce, in front of the full house, who he had chosen to save. He picked Aikou.

With that decision, every housemate is now up for possible eviction this week except Barry, who holds HoH immunity, and Aikou, who was spared through the Ultimate Veto Power.

Barry Becomes the First Show Ya Sef Finalist

The night held one more twist. Beyond his HoH win and Ultimate Veto Power, Biggie announced that Barry has officially secured a spot in the Show Ya Sef finale, making him the season’s first confirmed finalist with immunity guaranteed all the way to the final night.

Barry’s back-to-back wins mark a turning point in the competition, giving him unmatched influence over the house’s fate for the next two weeks while the rest of the housemates fight to survive this week’s nominations.
