Peter Okoye Denies Allegations Over Darkoo’s Music Video Takedown

Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P, has refuted accusations by rising artist Darkoo, who claimed he tried to undermine her music video. The controversy began when Darkoo alleged that Mr. P had her video for the song “Focus on Me” removed from YouTube for six days.

In response, Mr. P’s management team, One Management, issued a statement clarifying the situation. They explained that the removal stemmed from Darkoo’s failure to follow proper clearance procedures for the song, which samples P-Square’s hit track “Gimme Dat.” Mr. P stated that he had advised Darkoo on how to clear the sample appropriately, sharing his own experiences with similar cases.

The statement further alleged that Darkoo ignored repeated attempts by Mr. P’s team to confirm whether she had obtained the necessary permissions. Consequently, the video was released without authorization, resulting in its temporary takedown from YouTube. The issue was reportedly resolved after Darkoo and her team signed the required agreements with all parties, leading to the video’s reinstatement.

Mr. P’s team firmly denied any intention to sabotage Darkoo, describing her claims as “malicious and a deliberate attempt to portray him in a bad light.” They also highlighted that Darkoo had only voiced concerns about the video’s removal after it was restored, suggesting her actions were a publicity stunt.
