Nigerian media entrepreneur Mo Abudu has announced the international expansion of her creative brand with the upcoming launch of EbonyLife Place London.
Situated on Wandsworth Road, the new facility is set to become the United Kingdom’s first cultural and cinematic hub dedicated exclusively to African and Black storytelling. The venue is scheduled to commence official operations in October 2026.
The project marks a milestone for the EbonyLife group, extending a brand that established its flagship location in Victoria Island, Lagos, in 2020. By establishing a permanent physical presence in London as a global nexus for arts and entertainment, Abudu aims to bridge the gap between African creative talent and international audiences, providing a platform for filmmakers, artists, and lifestyle brands to reach a wider diaspora and global demographic.

Beyond traditional cinema screenings, the multifaceted complex facility will house a range of curated spaces intended to promote African culinary traditions, fashion, and visual arts.
There’s an Afrobeat Restaurant, the Fèhintì Lounge, Maji Concession & Bar and a dedicated exhibition space, The Living Wall Gallery, for showcasing contemporary African visual art. Additionally, the site will feature Zuri Retail, a curated boutique space focused on African design and lifestyle products.
The London venue is positioned to serve as a vital corridor for creative exchange, fostering collaboration between African creators and the broader international entertainment industry.
