Landmark Group to Transform Port Harcourt Tourist Beach into a World-Class Destination

The Landmark Group, in partnership with the Rivers State Government, has acquired a prime waterfront property in Port Harcourt. The collaboration aims to redevelop the once-thriving Port Harcourt Tourist Beach into a state-of-the-art leisure, hospitality, and tourism hub.

The redevelopment project is poised to redefine tourism in Rivers State by providing an array of premium experiences. These offerings will cater to a broad audience, including families, adventure enthusiasts, local and international visitors, and the Rivers State community.

“We are thrilled to create unparalleled and unforgettable leisure experiences in Port Harcourt by leveraging our global expertise in service delivery and our success in providing waterfront leisure experiences in Lagos,” stated Paul Onwuanibe, CEO of Landmark Group.

“This project is not just about transforming a once-iconic resort; it’s about building a legacy. It represents our commitment to showcasing the best of Rivers State, driving socioeconomic growth, and establishing the resort as an iconic must-visit destination in Africa that Nigerians can take pride in,” he added.

The redeveloped facility, to be named the Landmark Port Harcourt Leisure Resort, is envisioned as a hallmark of excellence in tourism. The initiative was initially hinted by Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, during his visit to the Port Harcourt Tourist Beach on October 29, 2024.
