One injured in accident in Rivers

One person was severely injured on Tuesday after a saloon car rammed into a stationary truck at station road in Port Harcourt Local Council in Rivers State.

It was gathered that the accident occurred about 1:00 a.m. when a Lexus car, driven by the yet-to-be-identified man in his early 20s rammed into the parked truck.

Sources disclosed that the driver, who was in a critical condition, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.

It was learnt that the accident was caused by reckless driving, while some residents said it was due to a lack of reflectors.

However, other residents attributed the accident to the indiscriminate parking of trucks on the road.
