UNIPORT holds service of songs for late Prof. Efemini

The University of Port Harcourt on Wednesday held a service of songs for one of its own, late Prof. Andrew Efemini, who was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics before his passing.

Efemini died at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital in July, two days after his appointment Deputy Vice-Chancellor.

The Service of songs, held at the Convocation Arena, Abuja campus of the University, had dignitaries who convened to pay tributes in honour of the Late Professor of Philosophy.

Management, staff, and scholars from different fields, including students, were in attendance.

Efemini, before his death, served as Head of Department of Philosophy, ASUU Chairman (Uniport Chapter), and one time Dean of Students’ Affairs.

His interment is set to hold on the 6th of November, 2021, at his residence in Irhodo-Jesse, Ethiope West, LGA, Delta State.
