Kalu attends post-prison senate plenary

The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has been welcomed back to the Senate the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan.

Kalu arrived at the National Assembly complex at about 9 am on Tuesday morning to attend his first plenary since leaving prison days ago after over six months of incarceration at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

He was convicted and sentenced for N7.1bn fraud last December

“I just want to thank God for everything that has happened.

“It is the will of God. I want to urge Nigerians to keep hope alive,” he told reporters.
