Just in: UNIPORT gets acting Vice-Chancellor

Professor Regina Ogali, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of the University of Port Harcourt, will on June 12, 2020, take over duties as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University.

The follows the expiration of the tenure of Professor Ndowa Lale as Vice-Chancellor.

A statement by William Wordi, the public relations officer of the University said the Federal Government has directed Professor Lale to proceed on leave.

The statement said that Ogali, a Professor of Organic/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry, will oversee the affairs of the University pending when a new Vice-Chancellor is appointed by the visitor, Muhammadu Buhari.
