IPMAN blames government for fuel price hike in Portharcourt.

The continuous sale of fuel price above Government stipulated price in Portharcourt has been attributed to failure on the part of government on the part of the government to make product available.

Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, the chairman of Rivers Indigenous Petroleum Marketers Association, Mr Richard Oryinwo, noted that the hike in price is as a result of insufficient supply of the product at the Port Harcourt Refinery which he said supplies only forty five percent of the product.

Mr Richard also condemned the purported court order sacking the Chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN saying that they agreed that Rivers Indigenes must continue to be chairman at all time.

Meanwhile passengers and drivers in Portharcourt metropolis have decried the continuous hike in fuel price and urged relevant Agencies to take action so as to ease the plight of the masses .
