The group-stage draws for the 2026/27 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup are scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
The draws will determine the group-stage opponents for clubs that progress through the preliminary rounds of Africa’s two major men’s club competitions.
The CAF Champions League is the continent’s premier club competition, while the Confederation Cup offers another route for African clubs to compete for continental honours.
The group-stage pairings will shape the next phase of the competitions, with qualified teams set to discover the opponents they must face in their pursuit of continental success.
A report published on October 16 indicated that the draws would be held at the Egyptian Football Association’s headquarters in 6 October City, near Cairo. A workshop for representatives of participating clubs is also scheduled for October 29 and 30.
The group stages of both competitions are scheduled to begin in late November, with the opening matches set for November 27–29, 2026.
The draws will mark an important milestone in the 2026/27 African club football season as teams prepare for the challenge of progressing towards the continental titles.
