Go Round FC left the pitch at the Sports Complex in Maiduguri with a point after the encounter against El-Kanemi ended 2-2 but it was not so rosy after the referees sounded the final whistle.
The mayhem that ensued after the game was not for the faint of heart as fans of the home side bayed for blood and there were gunshots renting the air while players and officials of Go Round FC sat on the ground on the pitch hoping they were somewhere else.

Sunday Anthony put El-Kanemi ahead in the 18th minute through a direct free kick and trouble started for Go Round FC and the referees when they equalized in the 29th minute through Chiebonam Nwogbaga.

At half time, the referees led by Ayeni Rilwan of Lagos State faced the wrath of the fans but the game continued with the second half.
Jamiu Alimi put the home side 2-1 up in the 47th minute from close range, but the stubborn Go Round FC equalized again through Stanley Worlu in the 55th minute.

It became a lengthy second half when Go Round goalkeeper Dede was injured twice in the final moments of the game. He was knocked down in an aerial collision at one time and later collided with Chinedu Ohanachomo of El Kanemi.
But every other attempt by the hosts El Kanemi Warriors was either saved by Dede or wasted by the Warriors until the final whistle.
After six minutes of added time, the game ended 2-2 and then the mayhem began.
