Window thief gets hand chopped off by house owner.

A window thief got more than he bargained after his invasive hand was chopped off by the owner of the house he went to steal in.

The bloodied hand which was chopped off from the wrist was pictured lying inside the room as the thief escaped bearing the pain of his expensive folly.

Theportcitynews gathered that the incident occurred on Monday night at Agudama in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

It was also gathered that the area is a habitat for thieves leaving the residents with little choices but to resort to self-help.

Recall that three Youth Corps members were also shot dead by robbers in the area few weeks ago.

The owner of the house said that he had been a victim of criminals for too long a time in the past, adding that the frequency of occurrence made him change tactics.

He explained that the thief wanted to pick a phone that was kept at a nearby table which was used as a bait, stressing that the chopping off exercise will serve as a deterrent to others in the area.
