Breaking: Thompson Sekibo wins election into the Senate

Thompson George Sekibo has been declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as the winner of Rivers East Senatorial District election.

Sekibo who was replaced by the current Senator, Andrew Uchendu in 2016 will now represent the Senatorial district having polled a total of 283,759 votes.
